The Interview of Ronnishia Johnson by Joseph Adams

For my Oral History Project, I interviewed my good friend Ronnishia Johnson. Ronnishia is an African American woman born and raised in the Bay Area. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Texas Southern University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University. For many years Ronnishia has fought for the basic human rights for African Americans and people of color. During the interview with Ronnishia, we discussed a variety of different topics of her life as well as topics that affect everyone in today’s society. Ronnishia goes into detail about her cultural and historical upbringing. Currently society is experiencing a paradigm shift and I believe that Ronnishia and many others are on the forefront of that shift.
