Perla Ibarrientos is an outstanding member of her community and had dedicated many years to volunteer work. Just recently she was awarded for her work by members of the Daly City council.

Back in the Day
Before even thinking of finding the reasons for something as big as immigration, you must learn the back story of the immigrant first. What was their life like in their home country? What did they do? Questions like this are what lead up to reasons for immigration, no one just decides to do it. That is why before I even asked Mrs.Ibarrientos about her reasons for such just a bold move, I got to know a bit of her past.
Was It Worth It?
When it comes to making a big decision, we all hope that it'll be one with no regrets. Immigration is something that many either make or break. Coming to the U.S is definitely no easy task, and hearing the whole process of gaining citizenship and becoming assimilated, you kind of start to wonder, was it worth it?
Happy in the U.S Now?
In the end, how good or bad your outcome is depends on you. Seeing the glass half full can help with turning positives into negatives. And sometimes, that big change can make you not want to turn back.
